Charity Photo Shoot: 40 Portraits and €8,000 Raised

Sometimes, things come full circle in the most beautiful way. As a former podcast guest, I was invited to the OMR birthday in Hamburg—previously as the founder of notebooksbilliger.de, this time with a camera in hand.

We approached Philipp Westermeyer: Hey, isn't this funny? Could we do a charity photo shoot? The response was immediate: Go for it. So, my wife Xenia, who is also the director of Fundació Predator, and I flew to Hamburg. In our luggage: Profoto lighting equipment.

Backdrop: an improvised black blanket. Setting: a roaring party. Professional studio setup in the midst of chaos—just as it should be. 40 people stood in front of my camera that evening.

40 personalities took a moment for a portrait amidst the beats, conversations, and unique spirit that define OMR events. Each received at least three photos, free of charge. The only request: if you wish, donate to Fundació Predator.

By now, all those photographed have received their images. The generosity has left us speechless: over €8,000 was raised. €8,000 for needy families and children in Mallorca. This amount translates into food packages, school supplies, and support in times when it's most needed. Every single euro makes a difference.
